Most of the Mountain Nests accommodations are located in the heart of the snow-rich ski resorts of Kitzsteinhorn, Kaprun - Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe Zell am See, with direct access to the Saalbach Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn ski area. All of these areas can be explored with a single ticket (Alpin Card).
Our accommodations in the holiday village AlpiNest in Mariapfarr is located in close distance to the international ski resorts of Obertauern and Katschberg. Two additional smaller ski resorts (Fanningberg and Speiereck) are located directly in front of the door.
The cosy Embach Alpen Apartments in the idyllic mountain village of Embach, within walking distance (300 metres) of the practice lift, are ideal for families and anyone seeking peace and quiet, who long to slow down and enjoy nature away from the hustle and bustle of the large ski centres. The Skiarea Rauris is just a short distance away.

With the Zell am See Kaprun Summer Card you can use the regional mountain railways, the most exciting attractions, the indoor swimming pool in Zell am See, the bathing beaches at the Zeller See etc. for free.

We - the Hörl family - have been working in the Austrian tourism industry for more than three decades: with our own hotel and restaurant on Gault Millau level we learned how to be hosts, and by working in tourism management, we gained a lot of insight. The Grossglockner Chalets in Zell am See are the result of this know-how!
The owners of the surrounding accommodations soon realised, that there were many happy guests staying in our chalets all year round. Soon after we were allowed to rent out their apartments as well.
From this success, Mountain Nests was born - the feel-good nests for holiday guests looking for something special.
